In Chad

I'm finally in Chad.  We were diverted to Cameroon because of a dust storm.

Douala's airport was very hot and everybody smoked!

I was impressed to see so many foreign people in the plane, I think this is a good sign.

Today I went to the grocery store to buy a few essential things and to a local fruit bazar (outside market), everybody tried to make me buy their fruit.  I have a new skill, I'm a great negotiator.

The house where I will be living for two years, looks better than I expected.  I have a big garden and a lime tree, a mango tree and a banana tree.

I'm planning to start my own vegetable garden, to plant more flowers and trees.

There are lizards crawling everywhere.  Daisy loves them.  I don't think they share her love.
