Island of the Blue Dolphins
I bought this amazing novel last summer while I was in Washington, and since then it stayed on my book's shelf. So every time I dust my shelf I would stare at the book's cover, which intrigued me.
However, the other week I decided to start reading it, and today finally I finished the book!
Despite the fact that it's a children's novel I really enjoyed reading it, was a captivating book for me, though a little sad...
I mostly loved it because it's based on a true story, about a Indian girl Juana Maria who was left behind on the Island for 18 years, where she lived with her dog, eating abalones and fish everyday!
I have found a lot of new words for my English vocabulary, I even had to open google to search for the pictures of the fish Karana had eaten or killed, for example the ''devil fish''.
